Cliff Seltzer - Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Cliff co-founded Puresend in 2001. While overseeing the entire company, he spends a great deal of his time on the front-end with customers and prospects, and can be found speaking at many of the leading email messaging industry conferences. Previously, Cliff spent nine years at GE’s Commercial Finance unit. As a Senior Vice President, he was responsible for originating and structuring highly complex financing and investment opportunities within the corporate and industrial sectors. In addition to a heavy investment focus on the Oil & Gas and Steel industries, Cliff was a founding member of GE Structured Finance’s e-Business team in 1999. Prior to joining GE, Cliff was with Stratum Group, a boutique oil and gas financing company, and Arthur Andersen. Cliff is a CPA and holds a BS in Accounting from Lehigh University and an Executive MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Cliff is married with three children and lives in Scarsdale, NY, where he is an active leader in many community organizations.
Douglas P. Fields, Jr. - Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder
Prior to founding Puresend in 2001, Doug was a Partner in the investment bank of J.C. Bradford & Co. (purchased by PaineWebber in 2001, now a part of UBS) where he created and led the New York-based Advanced Technology Group creating cutting edge wireless technology solutions. Doug has a proven success record with technology start-up ventures. Doug is also a past Vice President of the Private Client Technology Department at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown. Puresend is the fourth company he has founded. In 1994, he built Interpage Network Services, Inc., a company that pioneered Internet-enabled messaging with paging and fax service and currently provides service to many of the largest communications companies in the world. Doug holds an Executive MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and BS in Computer Science from Yale University.
Alessandre S. Naro - Vice President of Operations
Prior to joining Puresend in 2006, Alex served as the Global Head of Support Services for MessageLabs, a Messaging Security Services Provider, where he was tasked with handling all support related functions across the company globally. Among his accomplishments was the creation and leadership of a centralized 24x7 Global Technical Support Team, serving MessageLab's 15,000+ global client base, the success of which led to Alex's greater global role. Prior to MessageLabs Alex worked as a Systems Engineer for startup Metis Technologies, now Massive Incorporated, where he handled the design and support of both internal and external 24x7 IT production systems. Alex has worked with service providers his whole career, with roles in both the technical and the client arenas, giving him broad experience with service and client management in the email space. Alex attended the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in Philosophy, lives in Manhattan and is recently married.
Scott Rothstein - Sales Director
At Puresend, Scott’s role is to spearhead all efforts to bring new clients aboard. Before joining Puresend in 2008, Scott worked in sales on both the creative and media sides of the online space. Prime among these were his efforts at Digital Pulp, a boutique online creative agency, where he brought such new, prestigious clients as Lancome, the Make A Wish Foundation and Harvard University. Ever active in the community, Scott has volunteered for numerous non-profit endeavors and currently chairs the Sponsorship Committee at 212NYC, New York’s Interactive Advertising Club. Among Scott’s previous endeavors, he used to teach History and Political Science and worked as a translator. Scott earned a BS from Towson University in Baltimore and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
